The Proteomics Core Facility is mainly supporting scientific projects within the Medical Faculty Mannheim of the University of Heidelberg. However, external projects can also be supported, if the capacity and resources are available. In any case it is obligatory to contact the PCF prior to sending samples in order to discuss specific needs of the respective project. Accordingly, we ask you to adhere to the following procedure:
1. Contact the Facility at an early stage
Please involve the PCF at an early time point of your project planning. The experimental conditions should be discussed in detail to give advice for optimized sample preparation. We recommend you also have a look at the User Guide, which gives informations related DO’s and DON’T’s.
2. Fill out the service request form
In order to avoid mistakes, the PCF staff wants to get a solid understanding of your goals and expectations. Therefore, as much information as possible should be transmitted together with the specimens.
3. Send your sample
If you send samples on (dry) ice, avoid shipping them over the weekend. Always include a print of the service request form.
